A goal without a plan is just a dream.
Already as a child, Frederik H. Baadstorp knew he wanted to be a jeweller. Even before his schooling was over, he had an apprenticeship on his hand, and the day after he had finished his schooling, he started as a goldsmith’s apprentice in Denmark.
Frederik was diligent, always arrived on time, and worked hard as a student for 6 years to prove his worth. For his exam he got top marks as the only one and as the first in his field for more than 20 years.
He was honored by Her Majesty Margrethe 2, Queen of Denmark herself, and was awarded both a medal and a grant for his fine craftsmanship.
He had completed his education and wanted to travel around the world and work with his profession. This resulted in many years abroad, including Australia, Mexico, South Africa & USA, where he furthered his education as a stone setter & gemologist, and subsequently got work at some of the world’s largest and most recognized high-end jewellery companies. After many years of traveling and working abroad, he returned home to Denmark, where he began working for one of Denmark’s largest companies as a product manager. He worked for the company for almost a decade, before he decided that the time had come to create his very own jewellery company, which today is known as Baadstorp.
Baadstorp was established in 2008. Like so many other enthusiasts, Frederik H. Baadstorp started from scratch, where he had the company in extension of his home.
After a few years, he outgrew his small workshop and decided to expand his business by building a brand new house only for the business; The House Of Baadstorp. In 2015 he started the construction project, and by the end of the 2016 the construction was finished. Today Baadstorp is known as a company of high quality and good Danish craftsmanship.
We have more than 30 years of experience in the jewellery profession, and have had many interesting tasks in the house, including for the Danish royal.
